Computing's brand new Cloud Excellence Awards aim to recognise the very best of the UK's cloud industry, from the most innovative and compelling products and vendors, through to the top use cases from end-user firms.
Used properly, the cloud can enable organisations to be fast to respond to changing market conditions, and to experiment with new ideas, products and tools. Jacyn, who is a keen advocate for the SME community, was shortlisted for his work with Epos Now, creating innovative and affordable tech for small and independent businesses
.
This is demonstrated by the development of complete mobile POS solution, POStoGO, which has all the flexibility of a tablet with the insight of a traditional POS system. POStoGO affords retailers and hospitality businesses the freedom to operate outside of traditional bricks and mortar stores without losing access to the valuable data which helps them run their business profitably.
“It’s amazing news that Epos Now have received a double short list in the Cloud Excellence Awards! What an honour to be selected as only one of two finalists in the Cloud Entrepreneur category! Building the platform on the cloud future-proofed our business and has empowered me to run my business from anywhere in the world. For me, mobile working was essential to establishing the US arm of our operation. I believe we should be promoting the cloud amongst all small and independent businesses, so they too can experience the benefits the cloud affords.” Jacyn Heavens, Epos Now’s CEO.
The winners will be announced on the 20th of September at a prestigious awards ceremony at London Tower Bridge, where the leaders of cloud tech will be in attendance.
