The Grocer Gold Awards 2017 took place on Tuesday 13th June, at a glittering reception at the Guildhall in London. It was a wonderful evening, which saw the industry come together to celebrate what has been a challenging but fantastic year for the FMCG sector.
The evening was hosted by actor and impressionist, Rory Bremner, and Adam Leyland, Editor of The Grocer. Together they proudly announced the winners of the hotly contested The Grocer Gold Awards 2017. With 27 award categories, many of the leading names in retail dominated the evening.
Epos Now’s CEO, Jacyn Heavens attended the evening in hopes of picking up the award with content writer, Erin Heenan. Epos Now were shortlisted in the Technology Supplier of the Year category, a category which celebrates dynamic organisations who leverage technology to support British retailers. The selection of finalist included Blue Yonder, Elevaate, Zapper and the Shield Safety Group. The shortlist shows the diversity in the sector, celebrating a range of technology designed to boost profitability, assist with food safety and improve the customer experience.

We extend our congratulations to the Shield Safety Group who were announced the winner in this category. The Shield Saftey Group are one of the UK’s leading providers of food safety software services, protecting businesses from poor food hygiene, which has become increasingly important since the launch of the scores on doors initiative.
“The Grocer Gold Awards were a fantastic evening and it was great to be a part of it. It was an honour to be included on the shortlist with a range of leading tech companies, all doing great work to improve the lives and businesses of retailers in the UK.” Jacyn Heavens
Other big winners included Tesco, Lidl, Morrisons and Greggs. Well done to all the winners and finalists! We look forward to next year's events, where we’ve certainly got our eyes on the prize!
