Entrepreneurs make a difference: they create jobs and wealth, bring new innovative products and concepts to the market and encourage creativity and competition. EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year programme celebrates individuals who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses. The competition celebrates their success, the contribution they’re making to the economy and the legacy they’re building.
Now in its 31st year globally and 19th year in the UK, Entrepreneur Of The Year is more than a business award. It’s a global programme that helps and supports entrepreneurs build successful and sustainable businesses in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries.
The British competition runs in four regions – London & South, Midlands, North and Scotland – culminating in a national award event in October 2017 to announce the UK Entrepreneur Of The Year winner. The winner will then go on to compete for the prestigious title of World Entrepreneur Of The Year in June 2018
A prestigious black tie dinner will be held at the British Academy of Film & Television Arts on the 27th of June. This event will celebrate the achievements of the region's entrepreneurs, provide candidates with a valuable networking opportunity and most importantly, the winner for the London & the South region will be announced.
“Being a part of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition has been an amazing experience so far. Everyone on the shortlist has proven themselves to be a inspiring and innovative leader and it’s a real honour to be considered as one of them. This has been an excellent opportunity to share best practice with professionals from across a number of industries and I’m thoroughly looking forward to the result.” Jacyn Heavens, CEO
