We have listened to your feedback and will release a number of major software features and updates that were recently suggested or requested by our customers. The update will be released on Monday, June 1st, and will automatically be applied to your system, so no action is required from you. The key updates for this month include improvements to the table plan, promotions, overall performance, reports and much more.
Tables shapes, sizes and improved table plan layout
We have improved the layout of the table plan to improve usability on mobile devices such as iPads. Our customers can now select different table shapes (stars & circles) when editing the table plan to help staff identify different tables quickly, without having to memorise table numbers. Our hospitality customers will benefit from this change as it’s been frequently requested in the past.
"Serve as" feature (starters served with mains or separately)
When ordering meals from categories marked as a starter course, customers can decide if they want the starters to be served together before the main meals, or together with them. This will automatically be printed on the kitchen order, so reduces time spent adding manual notes.
Grouping same items on kitchen orders
When a customer orders more than one of the same food product, then all the identical products will be grouped on the Kitchen Order printed. This will make managing large orders much easier for kitchen staff.
Wet and Dry breakdown shown on EOD
When closing a till you can now see a breakdown of wet vs dry sales. This can be turned on/off in the till options menu.
Duplicate item button in Back Office
On an existing product you can click the new Duplicate Item button to have a new product made, pre-populated with the same information. You can then change the specific options that are different for this item. This is great if you have several similar products as it saves time on re-entering data.
Popup alerts per category and only show once
Popup alerts can now be assigned to a category as well as an individual product. This help to save time as the alert will automatically be added to any products that are added to a category. It is also possible to set an alert to only show once per transaction. This can be useful for one time alerts such as age restricted products.
Report to show sales per size
It is now possible to view products sales by size. This is useful for comparing clothing sizes or alternatly when viewing a breakdown of different sized drinks.
Meal Deal promotions improvement
Change to this feature will allow customers to easily set promotions like "pick any 3 items as a deal".
Till Button Renaming
Some small elements of the till interface have been updated to bring greater consistency across the platform:
