After taking over a bar in Norwich, Jacyn searched for a POS system that would suit his business. After extensive research, he identified a gap in the market and began to develop his own affordable and reliable software for retail and hospitality businesses.

Jacyn’s research revealed that the POS software on the market lacked innovation, and the industry wasn’t moving at the same pace as other technologies. Jacyn saw the rising popularity in mobile apps and wanted to apply this same idea to EPOS, so he started to pull together a development team to create customizable software that would harness the power of the cloud.

Epos Now moved its headquarters to a new office spanning 5,000 square feet. With such rapid growth, and a huge drive in recruitment, the move attracted a great deal of press attention.

Jacyn has worked hard to create a modern and enjoyable working atmosphere at Epos Now. For this reason, he was asked to discuss how we recruit the best staff, and keep them motivated on Mustard TV’s Business Extra.

Jacyn launched the UK’s first EPOS AppStore, allowing customers to customize their system to suit their business, and giving them access to hundreds of business boosting apps.

Epos Now was recognised by The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 as the 13th fastest-growing tech business, and fastest growing POS company, in the UK.

After the successful launch of the AppStore, Epos Now was awarded ‘Epos Innovation of the Year’ at the prestigious Retail Systems Awards.

For the second year running, Epos Now has been ranked as one of the 100 fastest growing tech businesses in the UK, in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100. This year we were the 32nd fastest growing business.

As a tech entrepreneur, Jacyn was asked to deliver the keynote at SyncNorwich’s 54 hour startup event. SynctheCity was an entrepreneurial startup challenge designed to inspire young people to develop their own tech businesses. Jacyn was on a panel of industry experts responsible for selecting the winners.

Jacyn was announced Natwest's Great British Retail Entrepreneur of the Year 2016. The awards are designed to celebrate the contributions and innovations of British entrepreneurs and their impact on the economy.
