As the honoured winner of 2017’s Princess Royal Training Award, Epos Now has been recognised for providing one of the UK’s leading skills development programmes. Our founder and CEO, Jacyn Heavens, believes employees are key stakeholders in our success and, as part of our ethos, advocates hiring for attitude, not skill. As one of Europe’s fastest growing tech companies, this has proved to be an effective onboarding method. The skills our employees gain have a profound effect on their personal drive, ambition and achievement.

Stefan Gilding and Connor Jones are great examples of this, having recently launched their own vaping business, Juicy Goose. The business, which is already showing early signs of success, offers vapours a high quality, UK manufactured e-liquid products
Connor, who joined Epos Now as a sales consultant in 2013, quickly rose to the top of the leaderboard, gaining a clear understanding of Epos Now’s products and how they could benefit his customers. Today, Connor continues to strive for excellence as Epos Now’s Commercial Business Development Manager, a role which holds huge importance for Epos Now’s UK operation, nurturing the Commercial customers welcomed onto the platform.
“We love working at Epos Now, the people are great and helping businesses thrive is rewarding, but the most valuable thing for me has to be the opportunity to learn from other experts within the business. Where else can you be mentored on business management from the GB Retail Entrepreneur, or get free advice from a management accountant over lunch?” Connor Jones, Commercial Business Manager
Stefan joined the business in 2016. His prior experience working within the hospitality industry gave him a good understanding of the needs of Epos Now’s core customer base. Always keen to learn, Stefan was mentored by Jacyn and Connor, and having fast-tracked his learning, was appointed senior sales consultant in less than a year. He now helps others in the department, hosting training sessions in sales skills development, objection handling and guidance with partnerships referrals.
The pair, who are already looking at a franchise opportunity within the region, hope to be turning over just under £100k within the year. Entirely self-funded, they have been inspired by Jacyn’s business model and plan to reinvest all generated profits back into the business.
