Who are Receipt Tracker?
Receipt Tracker are a forward thinking company that are revolutionising the way that retailers can send receipts to their customers. Enabling customers to view all transactions in one place and receive offers from their favourite stores.
Where are you based?
Receipt Tracker are based in the West Midlands with their technical team based just outside of Sheffield.
What is your business and how did it start?
Receipt Tracker started from a simple shopping trip and the realisation of all of the paper that was wasted. On further investigation the impacts on the environment became apparent and a realisation that a modern day version was needed. Since 1892 when the paper receipt was first invented, very little has changed. Different avenues were explored with emailed receipts being an option. However from the customer’s point of view this often meant trying to find a receipt hidden amongst lots of junk email and it just wasn't convenient. The emailed receipt didn't offer the retailer any further insight into the customers purchasing their products. Receipt Tracker gives the stores a greater insight, such as gender and age which can be used to target certain customers with special offers and promotions within the app.
What are your core values & mission?
To simplify the customer retail journey and reduce the harmful effects on the environment!

Why did you choose to work with EPOS Now?
We chose to work with EPOS Now as they are one of the fastest growing POS providers in the UK. Receipt Tracker share’s the same views as EPOS Now with a belief that all businesses and entrepreneurs should be able to leverage the power of cloud solutions and modern technology to power their businesses.
What are your predictions for the future of mobile apps?
One of the increasingly used app strategies is marketing through push notifications, with lots of money and effort being ploughed into geo-targeting push-notifications. This is appealing to both consumers and retailers and research suggests it works.
Tailored messaging will be increasingly used to personalise offers and communications with consumers based on their demographic data, location, browsing history and purchase history.
Mobile apps are on the increase and it’s believed they could one day overtake the internet. With this in mind we believe that by introducing Receipt Tracker as THE Receipt app it will become the main platform for customers receipt storage solutions.
Do you have any advice for businesses?
With shoppers relying more on smartphones, tablets and advances in online shopping, the traditional high street is sometimes portrayed as being in a death spiral. However, technology cuts both ways and connectivity has provided retailers and brand owners with new opportunities to engage.
Far from hastening the death of the high street, canny retailers are using technology to breathe new life into their offering.
The warning however, is that technology is only a great experience when it works, but when it does the opportunities are boundless. The winners in the future will be those who can build an experience that takes the best from both digital and physical retailing.
With the above in mind retailers should look at the advantages that apps such as Receipt Tracker can offer, engaging with new and existing customers can help increase turnover, profit and most importantly ensure repeat business.
