The Barn

The Barn is a quaint cafe and bistro located in the picturesque market-town of Holt in Norfolk. Helen Stoker (Owner of The Barn) was looking for an EPoS system that would improve the experience of her customers and also allow her to easily manage sales.

The Barn originally used a paper ordering system, which caused problems and delays in the kitchen as the chef struggled to read orders. By using an ordering tablet, in addition to an Epos Now complete hospitality solution Helen has been able to dramatically improve the customer experience. Staff now create orders using a tablet at the customer’s table, which automatically sends the order through to the kitchen printer. This function saves time and eliminates any mistakes. It also means that the staff can spend less time running orders to the kitchen and more time with their customers, shortening waiting times for customers to get their food and their bill.

Helen has found the real-time information the back office provides to have transformed how she runs the business. The reporting allows Helen to view what her bestselling products are, which has helped her to shape what items she keeps on the menu and which items she needs to change. The Barn have added the support plan to their Epos Now package, which allows Helen and her team to have unlimited access to our experts and ensures swift diagnosis and issue resolution. It provides everybody at The Barn with training and an on-site visit if the issue can not be resolved over the phone, and gives Helen peace of mind that there's always someone there to help.
