Our software development team is determined to keep our customers at the cutting edge of the industry. Over the last few months we've been collating customer feedback and have realised that what our customers want most from the Back Office is the ability to make changes quickly, easily access reports from their portable devices, and to be able to navigate fast.
We've taken all of this feedback onboard to release a completely new interface. All of the same tools and pages are still available, however, we've move pages into groups that make more sense. Watch the video below, so that you can learn the new interface.
All Epos Now software customers will receive the new layout on Tuesday 29th July 2014.
We have split the old "Back Office" section into Setup and Management.
Setup is where you go to make important configuration changes (such as tax rates, discount levels and locations). Once you have done your initial setup you will rarely need to go into the Setup menu.
Management is where routine, day-to-day changes are made. For instance this is where you add and edit your products, categories and staff.
The Reporting menu contains all of the information about how your business is performing, including all reports and cutomised dashboards. You cannot make changes from the Reporting menu.
We have added a new menu called Apps. Any apps installed on your account live here. For example you might have the Generate Labels app or the Booking app.
To make changes to your login click your name in the top right hand corner. From here you can log out, change your password or setup additional users. You can also control what access level the additional users have.
You don't need to do anything to access the new Back Office, it will automatically appear on your account from Tuesday the 29th of July onwards. Just continue to login as normal. All your old information and customised dashboards will still be there.
