Women of the Year has recognised, celebrated and inspired women of all backgrounds for over 60 years and continues to shine a light on extraordinary women through an annual lunch, lecture and on-going foundation work.
Since 1995 the Women of the Year Council have recognised the roles of women in society and created an annual forum of over 400 women from around the UK and globe to acknowledge their individual achievements.
As a winner of the First Women's Awards, Hayley has been invited to celebrate and honour women's achievements. The event brings together women from the widest range of backgrounds, race, class and religion and from very different walks of life. Every woman invited to this lunch has done something special and inspired others through her achievements.
‘For over 60 years, Women of the Year has proudly recognised and celebrated the achievements of some of the world’s most incredible women. These women range from the super famous to unsung heroines who are the backbones of charities, industries and indeed every profession possible. The remarkable women who make up the attendees and winners at this year’s Lunch are being recognised for their work making the world a better place.’ Sandi Toksvig, President of Women of the Year
This year’s lunch is on Monday 16th October and will be held at the InterContinental, London Park Lane. A number of the attendees will receive an award selected by a group of accomplished judges, with the Duchess of Cornwall in attendance.
“It’s a huge honour to be invited to the Women of the Year lunch and I’m excited to meet the other invitees. There are so many inspirational stories of women from all over the UK, in all different sectors, it’s important to celebrate and share them to inspire others. I’m particularly passionate about addressing the lack of diversity in the technology sector, and hopefully, this will prove to be a fantastic forum for generating ideas about how to tackle this issue.” Hayley Johnson, Epos Now COO.
