This Saturday's FA Cup final match between Crystal Palace and Manchester United saw a huge 19.2% surge in revenue across pubs in the UK. Half time saw punters flocking to the bars with an 82% increase in revenue between 6.15 pm and 6.45 pm compared to the previous week.
The additional revenue generated was £284 on average per pub. As there are 52,000 actively trading pubs in the UK, this means the FA Cup brought almost £15 million worth of extra income to the pub industry this Saturday.
We'll say cheers to that!
