Ratchet Clothing Ltd. all began in 2012 when 16 year old company founder Dhillan Bhardwaj designed a t-shirt in the garage at his family home and then continued to sell his popular designs online. The company specialise in high quality urban streetwear with innovative design and have a huge celebrity following. Most of Ratchet Clothing’s growth has happened through the web and they have a huge social media presence.
Dhillan hit the headlines when he was expected to turnover £1m in 2014 and decided to expand into retail. Ratchet Clothing’s first retail store opened in March 2014 in Long Eaton and has now expanded to include two more stores, one of which is in Lakeside Shopping Centre. Intu Lakeside is the seventh largest shopping centre in Britain, with over 250 shops and an average of 500,000 visitors a week.
“Ratchet Clothing has been a great success story to date and Intu Lakeside’s 25 million annual footfall of fashion-focused customers will definitely welcome the addition of this trendy new retailer.”
Ratchet Clothing opened it’s first location without an EPoS system and quickly realised that they needed one to make the processes of their growing business much more streamlined. Owen Oxley (Store Manager) was looking for an EPoS system that could cope with their fast growing business. It was fundamental that the store had a system that could monitor data for multiple retail store locations, carry out smooth payment transactions, create barcodes for their products and monitor stock.
The Epos Now system has allowed the store to ensure that till transactions are seamless, whilst also allowing access to detailed data through the back office facility, which is available to view from any location through the cloud platform. Ratchet Clothing wanted to be able to improve stock accuracy and speed up service. Ratchet CEO, Dhillan Bhardwaj explained, "At the click of a button, the system tells us where our stock is needed most". The Epos Now system also makes it possible to customise and generate their barcode labels and print them directly through their Epos Now barcode printer. Using this method can speed up transactions and stock takes as you can easily label any unlabelled products, which enables you to quickly scan them into the system. This allows the Ratchet team to streamline stockroom efficiency and improve stock accuracy.
“Ratchet Clothing needed a system that was able to improve the processes of their expanding business. Epos Now has helped to streamline transactions and allowed Ratchet Clothing to manage their stock and keep track of staff performance.”
